TOPIC: Photos from my woods

Out tramping around yesterday - not digging but pinching off stems to hide seng. I came across a couple things I thought some folks might enjoy seeing. Here is a pic of Solomons Seal. Many of you have seen it in the woods.


Maybe many of you have seen this but on my place here, this is the first time I have seen it with seeds on. I thought it was cool.


Also remember the Jack in the Pulpit pics from the spring? Here is what the \"pulpit\" looks like in the fall.
I thought some might enjoy these.

Nice pics. I enjoy seeing all those plants. I also like finding differnt kinds of mushrooms. Last week I came across this old big log With CHICKEN OF THE WOODS mushrooms all down the side. Biggest bunch of them i've ever seen.

5 we call them hen of the woods here and soon as it rains they will be on here too...yummy..
