And last but not least... Don't give up on you'r ungerminated seed just yet. Here is a new seedling that's just sprouted among 3 year olds

Nice looking seng there hillhopper...

In the fall of 2010 I planted 3 beds with seed that had very poor germination... I had hopes in the spring of 2012 that some of it would come up and some did but still only a very small % and this fall I planted more seed in those beds with my sharp shooter shovel planter, just poking a few in here and there.

I saw several 3 leafers up in those beds the other day but none of the 2 or 3 year olds up yet. I bet they will be pushing up soon.

Congrats everyone on the nice plants.I must go soon and see how my little ones are.

I have sang in the seed bed that is up 10 inches tall already and 1 is a 6 prong. It appears that a lot of the seed that I planted the fall before last has done well and put up a plant. I am going to have to put some shade over them since lighting killed 2 of the biggest trees that blocked most of the noon sun.

You guys are making me hungry to go and look at my patches. Alas, won't be able to until this weekend.....
