TOPIC: Other Stuff Growing, Vol 2

I thought I'd post the other things I am growing. these are here at my home, in the treeline at the rear of the property.

This is my Greenhouse, where I start things that I grow all year. It's also where I spend a lot of my time after my regular job, and takes up too much of my time according to my wife. I use the 2 ea 80 watt solar panels for power, this g-hauz is off grid.

Inside the g-hauz, these are aloe plants I'm growing. As of today, I think I've got three times what you see in the photo.

That's me working in a pond that is sorta in the middle of the yard. I was attempting to repair the liner. It's very wet work, as you can see. I cut my hand on a slab of rock.

My old saying is: \"If I didn't bleed on it, it wasn't worthwhile doing!\" YOu can see the greenhouse back behind me.

Another pond I built last year. I'm building one a year, then populating it with wild-harvested pond plants. I'm planting some plants in it after I filled it with well-water. this pond holds 1400 gallons.

Most of what I grow in them are naturally found in ponds/lakes/streams here in the gold 'ole USA. I backpack them out of where I find 'em, and grow them.

This is this year's pond that I built. It's the third one beside this side of the g-hauz. Plans for next year include building one on the other side of the g-hauz, and putting a new liner in the oldest pond [ the one I was in bleeding] it's due for a new liner as I couldn't entirely repair the leaks from dogs swimming in them.

I had just finished putting the liner in, and in doing that, killing a large yellow-jacket nest in the bottom. Nasty little wasps, don't like them much at all.

this is the same pond that is the newly buil one in previous post. I'm getting it full fo plants.

The treefrogs have laid their eggs heavily in it.... and there's areal nice loud chorus of frog song every night. I really like listening to it.

Plant in there are water iris, water hyacinths, small arrowheads, water poppy, and frogbit.

Here's one of the adult treefrogs on the water iris. It looks sleepy here, maybe too much singing last night?

These are white water lotus just starting to take off, after hauling them in from a wild pond.

I grow a lot of water lillies. Here's a spectacular blossom. It's as big as the lotus blossom in the previous pic, about 7\" across.
