TOPIC: New guy from Indiana-with pics (maybe)

Hi all. I didn't see a place to post a \"Hello\" thread.
I live on 300+/- acres in southern Indiana. I've been wild-growing ginseng for about 8 years but digging wild roots longer than that.
I went for a long walk last week and took some pictures in my \"beds\" and some wild plants I found. I took the GPS and marked them all so I can go back this fall.
My dad selective cuts the timber every 7-10 years (just this last fall), not great for the ginseng, but it makes him money and he's retired, so having some income is a good thing.

I'm working on getting some pictures posted...

Welcome to the forum POC. This site has a 800 max pixel size for posting pics. This is usually the problem that first time posters have. If you are having problems try resizing them first.

Do you have a lot of sang there in Indianna?

I wouldn't say \"lots\", but I can usually find a plant or two when I go for a walk.

Welcome to the forum POC. I am also a fellow southern/sw hoosier! There isnt alot of hilly forested areas down in this corner as im sure u know. But there are spots and spots with ALOT of seng!!! Ive learned how to read the land(via google earth) and if ya know what to look for you can pick out those realitivly small areas that can be hidding ALOT OF BIG OLB) D PLANTS!!! One year I dug bout five lbs of big old (and I mean old) rooB) ts outa two little bitty woods that were maybe 50 acers total if that!!
