I\"ve not mentioned it prior, but thought some of you would find this interesting. More importantly, it points out that as much trouble and money as we put into our grow operations, we cannot protect it with deadly force in this state.

bcastle,
i read all of the links and i have to admit it is sad on all accounts, i didn't read anything about a criminal that was trespassing on a landowners pvt property and stealing ginseng.
and in the act of robbing a 78yr old man ectt...ect...you get the picture.
The land owner was protecting what was his
they didn't mention that the \"hunter\" was trespassing
they didn't mention that ginseng has a hunting season
they didn't mention much about poaching at all.
they did mention that law officials have been called to his property before for poaching.
i do agree that alot of lives have been disrupted by this,
sometimes even the criminals become the victims, he rolled the dice, didn't work out too well. Nobody has respect for anyones property anymore, chances are if the cops or game wardens had been doing their jobs instead of shoving their pie-holes full of doughnuts or updating their facebook status, this could of been avoided.
