Whitjr,
I take ginseng 3-4 times weekly - usually in a tea or at times in my coffee, and other times just munch on some root.
I have always sampled it some over the years but usually only when I was digging in the fall.
In the fall of 2010 I kept some roots back from what I sold and started taking it regular, usually 3 or 4 times weekly.
I also started taking a multi-vitamin with minerals about that same time.
I am not sure which to credit it too, but since then I have been basically bullet proof to things like colds, flue, sinus infection, strep throat.
My wife and kids still get sick like that regular, but not me. I have not even had a good case of the sniffles since fall 2010.
A couple of times I felt like something was coming on, but it passed real quick, gone in a day or two and back to normal.
This fall I kept a nice collection of roots with age from my harvest. I kept mostly smaller roots with 20+ root neck scars, and then kept two (double top roots that were in the 40+ year old range).
I think I have enough to do me until next falls harvest comes in.
Anyway - to answer your question - me personally - I use nothing but the best, Tennessee Wild Ginseng
