TOPIC: whats the deal???

i see ginseng prices in ohio and iowa ranging from 480 -530 bucks per dried pound.

yet seng in illinois and ky have yet to top $425.

i do understand that seng in certain places have better quality roots such as north carolina.

but iowa and ohio seng really is not much diffrent quality than il............whats the deal?

First, I am still at $450 for an average original lot, a little more for a better lot.

Secondly, we have a whole discussion about why ginseng might be different in one area as opposed to another.

Short answer, yes, it is that much different one place to the other.

In the case of Ohio, I suspect we have some speculators running up the price...that's all.
