Selling big old roots separately 13 years 2 months ago #14383

hey bud thats a good question.I think it would be hard or near impossible to sale single roots to the average buyer but you might have some luck on e-bay. If they are shaped like a man (especially if they have a little man root) you would have a much better chance unloading them for a good price. hope i could help....check out my site if you get a chance sengroots.weebly.com thanks

girls dig it,

I would call that a special top for sure.

Got any Pic's to share ?

PS - Billy found one late last year that was sort of like that but I think his had a total of 16 prongs. With 10 or so coming off a big knot on the berry stem.

There are some pics of it on here if you look back about a year.

sam; YES expect a buck a year.

Selling individual roots is difficult for the average digger because they don't know a buyer, and I guess buyers aren't going to run around buying a few roots here and there. Honest dealers will give you a good value for your roots, but they need to make an income to eh.

Old roots 50 and up brought to the right buyer will bring a buck a year in North America, much more in Asia.
They don't have to be big eitheer just-(LONG NECKS).

One more thing to consider when seperating out roots is that the overall quality of your entire lot goes down. I'm not referring to three or four extra special roots (shape, age, size, etc) I'm talking about selecting out the top 5 or 10% and trying to get a better price for those. Most generally when guys do this, they lose money.

I can typically move those special lots as I have one buyer who looks for just that. However, they are hard to come by as most guys understand its normally not a profitable move.
