TOPIC: I counted 41 neck scars

I counted 41 neck scars 14 years 1 month ago #5647

all is about dry and gone here in East central Il. At least where I hunt it is. I'm hoping that is a signal that the price will rise like it did 3 years ago...

Hey Hugeroot,

I found one this past Monday that had a very long neck.

Here is pic.

Best I could tell it was in the 35 year old range.

Our seng on Monday was still looking OK, but it has been fairly hot/dry here the past few weeks so I am sure it is suffering some.

im hoping so as well. I'm in northern arkansas, and the season has been weird to say the least, some of my spots have totally wilted and dropped, while others still yield green berries. the price has been a unanimous 345 a lb, but projections are good for next year, so as bad as i want to dig (believe me- its killin me!) im leavin a lot of my hollers untouched to grow big for next season...
