Is anyone hunting ginseng in eastern IL? I have dug about 6lbs wet as of this point and I have only seen two plants that were not totally yellow or dry. That fry spell at the end of summer we had really took its toll on our ginseng up here this year. I did find some old roots. 30 to 40 neck scars on average. How does the rest of the state and surrounding states look?
