I went out to check a spot that I've been thinking about trying and it paid off!!! I only picked 4 stemmers and it looks like I really got to wear out some boots on this hill . I just spent 20 minutes or so and got these 4 weighing over 5 oz's. One has at least 35 shelves on it.

Vermont. I can't wait to get work over with today so I can get back in there. I didn't even scratch the surface of this area. I wish I took a pic of the soil. Black, black, black! It was so loose and loamy that I could almost lift these roots out without digging! I planted at least 30 berries there yesterday that I found. I need to planted a bunch there next year if I buy some seeds. They were on the ground all over the place.
