thanks chief, I've had some close calls for sure. Just glad I didn't face plant into that devils walking stick tree, it would've been all over. You should've seen the thorns on this thing, wicked..:pinch: Between that and walking right over a big yellow jacket nest I consider myself lucky just to have a sore hand with a few thorn wounds.

Got in a little sengin today. A little drizzly, but the woods were so quiet and peaceful. Dug about 15 oz, and I believe my best root to date.

Dug this dandy on the way back only about 30 yards from my 4 wheeler near the creek. The top was a big 4 prong with 2 of the prongs broke off. The stem was as big around as a pencil.

thanks chief, decided to take a little different route back to the 4 wheeler. Saw 2 big prongs sticking out of the thicket and realized it was gonna be a pretty good one. I'd like a whole day of those, but they're few and far between.
