WOW, hot diggity damn,
Now those are some nice roots. Not sure I have ever dug any root like that. Those may be extra valuable to sell to someone verses putting them in the mix.
Those would be nice if someone were to buy them to transplant in their seed bed for seed producing.

Best I can tell it has about 23 neck scars,not as old as you would think to have such a long neck.

I just got out for about 4 hours this weekend on what I was planning on being my last day out this year because we are already about a week past my last normal dig date, but surprisingly most of the seng I seen was still in good shape. It has been unusually warm here so far this fall I guess is the reason, we are already a couple weeks past our average first frost date, but we're supposed to get some frost the next couple of nights so that may finish it off. Here is some pics of my latest hunt, had my best day of the year and dug some huge seng, probably at least 75 percent of what I dug was 4 prongs.
