TOPIC: water flowing the wrong way

haa...but no. i was talkin about getting lost in holers while diggin.
i never go alone, but sometimes it happens. when u see a creek running one way and then on the way back its flowing the other way or which i thought...then your really lost, especially after diggin in a one spot for awhile.
im usually good with directions in the woods but sometimes they will swallow u whole

Pokeweed, as a conservation officer, I have run into your situation a few times over the years. It reminds me of the Blair Witch Project, where they kept running into the same creek, time and time again.

In days of old, frequent compass checks kept this from happening, but in today's world, with GPS and all, it shouldn't happen at all. Chalk it up to the excitement of the moment, and never admit it to anyone...
