After yesterday's success I asked dad if he'd like to join me on today's hunt; being that the land was less than a mile from the farm he'd grown up on. Figured he'd get a kick out of it. Not ten steps into the woods he finds a four and a three prong both coming out of the same root. That root ended up being almost 20\"long! He also found about 10 other nice plants as well. Not bad for his first day 'sangin. We ended up with about 45 roots weighing 1/2 pound. Can't complain one bit! Pics to follow. Good luck all!
Huntsman53, I sure am. I got into this about 3 years ago when I purchased my farm and have been hooked ever since. I'm proud to say that I got to introduce my 60-year old dad to ginseng hunting today; he did, above all else, teach me everything I know about the woods.
