TOPIC: Scouting trip this evening

Man got disappointed this evening checking a new spot. Found a good steap north facing ridge falling to a large creek it was absolutely covered in Maiden hair fern, and black cohosh I mean wrapped up in it. Had paw paws, blood root Hugh poplar trees but no GINSENG? Man when I first seen it I was licking my lips. Didn't get to check the entire ridge though going back later this week.

some times the best looking places are duds dont know why maybe someone in the past didnt take the care to replant and dug the area clean out might be a good place for you to plant some seeds and see what happens

That's why I carry a back of stratified seed with me when I'm hunting. If an area should have ginseng but doesn't, I poke a few in the ground to get it goin.
