TOPIC: My biggest root ever.

I read this forum all the time but don't post. Thought I'd brag a little. I've seen bigger from you guys but this is my personal best. Been digging for about four years in Ohio

Very nice root, I've been digging for almost 20 years now and will tell you I've probably only dug 10-15 roots that were over an ounce, biggest on I ever got was 1.8 ounces. Definitely one to be proud of.

I'm also an Ohio guy and appreciate those 1+ ounce roots. Seems like I only manage to find about a handfull of them each year.. Very nice find, but too bad that neck snapped off:(

Nice one! How many scars on the part of the neck that broke off? Looks to be pretty old.

I too first thought the neck was broken off, but isn't that a bud on the end of the white feeder root?

Yes it is. I got the complete root, the two pieces broke apart as I lifted it.
