TOPIC: Dug a few

I got out for a bit this afternoon and ended up digging 30 plants. Weighed out at 9.6 ounces.

Here are a few of the bigger ones

Good looking seng there 5 and good job of digging it.

It takes some skill and patience to get those long branch roots and root hair.

It was a bueatiful day here, not as cool as I would prefer but still not bad.

Brad, I'm sure I will make time to get out a few more times this fall, but it wont be as much as I wood like cause free time is hard to come by for me too. Been workn 60+ hrs/week pretty much all summer....

Great job! Fat, healthy roots, with lots of feeder roots. Are they wild roots? If so double congrats!

I'm hoping to get out for an evening hunt or two this week, got a spot where I did real good last year that will have an oil drilling rig sitting on it soon, and I would rather not let that ginseng get bulldozed off the side of that hill.....

Nice roots there Five btw did you see the article in the paper about the medicinal plant trail they have opened up your way cant remember the name of the new park but its up around your neck of the woods! It has something to do with like 5 acres of yellow root.
