I was contacted by a staff from federal government of wild life indicating that they no longer issue permits to collect wild ginseng on the Allegheny National Forest in accordance with their new forest plan. If you have any questions on this, you may contact April Moore at 814-728-6168.

It is also against the state law to collect on state land in PA.
