TOPIC: Old Hole in the Neck

I am still amazed sometimes by things that this plant endures to survive. My daughter found and dug this root last Sunday. It has a Hole right through the middle of the neck. It was a good job of digging on her part. A lot of folks would've broken it off. It is better than halfway dry now and has stiffened up to the point where I can safely handle it without fear of breaking it off. I'm posting a couple of pics so you guys can see it. I've never seen one like this before.

To cool 5 that is something what a root it is.
