TOPIC: goodbye seng hello firewood

seng digging season is almost over here in WNC. We have had some cold snaps and alot of the seng i have found is yellow and some is just stalks. now that the cold is coming in i am selling firewood. so if you are ineed of firewood in the WNC region just post a comment. its $100 a fullsized truck load. thanks.

It's about done in my part of Ohio too. I was out a couple of days ago and all but one that I found was yellow, and most were laying flat on the ground. I had a couple of diggers that sold me some green ginseng tell me they were finding the same.... If we get the rain they are calling for this weekend along with the cool temps that will pretty much do it in.

I was out yesterday in Ohio, and every plant I saw was down I dug a few, noticed by a yellow plant with a pink stalk laying in the ground. I plan to go out sat and sun, then it's over
