TOPIC: Monster Ginseng

Ok, I went this morning and found the biggest Ginseng root I have ever found. It was 3oz and had a 3 prong top. I found a 4 prong right beside it that the root from end to end measures 21 inches long. All together I found 6 plants that weigh in at a little over 6oz. Monster roots but 2 of the roots had 2 prong tops and 1 had a 1 prong top that had a root as big as my thumb and about 5\" long.

That is a really nice old root, thanks for sharing! It may have been a 5 prong or bigger at one time and who could know how old it really is.

What a root, soil and canopy must be perfect. Don't know if you plant ginseng seed or not but I would entertain planting some seed in that area.
