LOL The real big ones always come frome that real fluffy loam.sometimes I can dig them without a digging implement! This was not in that kind of dirt but was straight downhill of where I got those biggest roots. I'll keep tabs on these ones to see how big they are though. Maybe some is genetics, but I'm sure it's mostly the dirt.

I'm about to go out and add Gypsum again to the rows that I have dug up and already worked some in. I'd like to get the soil to have as high a calcium level as some of you guys. Good luck and good digging to you.

Yes I know. I used the angry face at your mentioning of digging around the root to look at it. I put the laughing face to show that I was joking. Please be mindful that even though you didn't dig the root, if at that time a conservation officer had shown up and saw you digging, it could have been misinterpreted.
