TOPIC: 40 days!!!!!

26 days to go here in MN.....

Still pumped to get out there but the weather hasn't been good.
This photo is the condition I found 1/3 of my findings scouting this weekend:

Many berries have fallen off already. Those with green berries most are stunted or looking like they'll never grow into replantable seeds.
I'll have to be extra conservative this year and hope for a better growing season for 2013.....that is if they don't all dry out before Sept.

Will have to train my eyes to look for stems this year

Midwest, I am sorry to see that for you. It is way to early for that. I hope you do get to have somewhat of an enjoyable season this year. I would be so sick if I was in your neck of the woods. I remember in 2007 in WV we had a horrible year. Seng was gone before the end of the first week. That of course was the year that seng touched around 1k a pound.

Checking a few spots I can get to easy after work this week I dug down and looked at the neck on this one. It's one of those nice fat ones!
