TOPIC: Rough start to a pretty good day!

Rough start to a pretty good day! 13 years 2 months ago #12315

I awoke at 6 am to a thunderstorm. I waited for it to pass and then left home around 7:15. It was about a half hour drive and then 20 minute walk to get to the seng. Shortly after getting to the woods I heard thunder again. Sure enogh I got soaked. I did manage to dig 11.7 ounces today before giving in to my soaking wet feet. Guess I got to experience the beauty of God's creation and his power:) . Sure beat going to work. I didn't have the camera in the woods today, but took some pics of the roots after getting home. I did count 31 neck scars on one of them, but it really wasn't all that big. 5 four prongs today, but some of the 3-prongs had bigger roots. I weighed out 2.7 ounces of roots to tranplant to my seed bed area in the woods. So I guess that leaves me with 9 ounces for the bank.

Junnie, These roots are in the process of drying right now. There was right at 9 ounces on the newspaper they will dry to about 3 ounces. If your interested in buying them once they are completely dry feel free to send me an email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). Either way thanks for your post, I thought they were pretty nice too.
