TOPIC: wild ginseng price

I talked to turley a week ago, I live a hour's drive from his house....$400.00 a pound....but he was expecting it to go up...

The buyers I have talked to in Tennessee are buying for anywere from 350 to 400 a LB.

Well ginseng grow in Alabama.
how do i get started.

the buyers here in ky where i live are paying $400 a pound right now and most are saying they don't think it will go up very much but i have 4 pounds dried now and i am going to wait and see if it goes up before i sell.

me too, I would like to see it go to $500.00 a pound ,then I might consider selling ..Iv got 4 pound dry and another 3 or 4 pounds still on the drying screen's....

Chief,,,you the Man!! Thats a lot of Sang!! Me and Lumpy got a little over a pound dry,,,me and the Tooler going out to check a new spot today. So much of the woods in Minnesota was cleared years ago for farm land! Its hard to find the big woods up here anymore. From the Twin Cities and North,,its lots of Pine and Birch,,Aspen,,not good Sang woods. And this time of year with Bow season open,,,most of the woods are posted!! Hope we find a good spot today.

good luck today ...I 'm sure you guy's will find some.....I can walk across the road from my house and walk due south for aleast 6 or 7 miles and never get out of the timber or cross another road....

a lot more I found yesterday were yellow.
