I agree with the others Latt... should be fine to transplant them in August (bud spur development wise).
I had a few that I was going to transplant last year, and I marked them with some of those little (wire flag) things in mid summer thinking I would get to moving them some time in the winter months (cooler and no ticks and chiggars to deal with).
The nice little 3 pronger shown below is one that I intended to move, but just never got around to it this winter.
You can see the wire marker (has a little orange flag on top of it) sticking in the ground just up hill from the plant.
This one is in a place where it is getting too much sun now (tree died on the west side of it). It does fine in the spring and early summer, but late summer the extra sunlight is too much for it. Seems to be developing decently anyway... was a small 2 prong last year and a nice little 3 this year.
That would be one advantage to marking them now and moving them later. You could do that when it's cooler and not have to worry about ticks/chiggars, and could basically get to it when you have time.
