TN,
Thanks for the great pictures. I am looking at the flower spikes and thinking: The normal season is so far ahead here in the Valley that I am going to predict that we have red, ripe berries by the 1st of August. I already have big green berries that are formed. We are almost 20 days ahead of our normal season.

TN,
Man those are some beautiful 4 prongs and the wild stock you have are always later on setting seed.
I've got some plants that are from ordered stratified seed and I wouldn't be surprised if they are not turning pinkish by July. Then on the other hand my wild stock are just starting to form.
PS --- I have often wondered what pollinated the seng berries and yesterday when I was taking those pictures I saw a little greenish/brown bee, about 2x times the size of the little black sweat bee and he was visiting each flower spike and doing his thing.
I tried to get a picture of him a few times but he was quite shy and zipped away anytime I got the camera pointed and moved in his direction.
Nice looking plants TN. The plants in my seed producing area are at about same stage as what you've shown in your pics. Those tiny little flowers are just opening up. We had a real good rain come through a couple of days ago and that should get those berries off to a good start. It had been pretty dry for a few weeks before that rain. Overall the seed producing area that I started on last fall is looking pretty good, but as I expected the deer have browsed the tops off some of my plants including a couple of the largest plants:angry:
