Ringless honey mushrooms. Edible but not choice. There are poisonous look - a - likes. I do not think they are worth eating.

And in a few weeks my favorite \"Hen of the Woods\" Miatake.

Shroomdawg, is the master around here at this time of the year IMHO. He finds all the above and then some.

I haven't found any yet that I mentioned above but he has.

I hope to get out this weekend tho.

Laughing Latt, I am no master, just have my spots and follow the rain. With the coming heat and all this rain W/C Ohio I see a rebirth of warm weather species coming, summer oysters are already off the hook again. I imagine another round of boletes, green quilted russula, lactarius volumens or Bradley's and possibly some more black trumpets. Also hericium has started and will continue and I can't beleive the number of chickens I am seeing. Once it cools off provided we stay moist, the agaricus or pink bottoms, entoloma abortivum and various others along with hens/maitake/grifola frondosa and more chickens. Then blewits and your darker thicker fall/winter/spring oysters will flush.

Aside from some really nice varieties of boletes, I found my first hedgehog mushrooms of the season and they were huge.
