Hey Shroomdawg, glad you are back. I think pic #8 is a Chant and you meant # 9 is an Amanita SP.

Also I didn't know there was such a thing as a false Turkey Tail called a Stereum Ostrea. Always learn something new from you. What is the difference so I can ID the true Turkey Tail?

Great photos K_Duce. What kind of camera do you use?

I see some of these near my 'sang... However only when there's a lot of wet weather. I am not too familiar with the growth cycle of mushrooms, I always attribute the growth of mushrooms to a group of wet weather.... Am I Wrong at bout that?

yes Latt, that numbering system threw me for fits since it is on a second page LOL, turkey tails grow in clumps and swirls, not individual \"blades\" like you see with the Stereum in this photo. The true turkey tails: www.mushroomexpert.com/trametes_versicolor.html

Whitjr, you are entirely right as a forager of fungi, follow the rain. We have had an over abundance in W/C Ohio so I am swimming in edible fungi, Latt to my north east by 60 miles, hasn't had as much rain yet. I wish i could load photos from work but the black trumpets, oysters various boletes and others are off the hook in my wild life areas right now.
