TOPIC: Reishi?

I did something similar to that with mine. I collected the spores on a strong sharp stick and used it to inoculate various dead hemlocks. Though, luckily the adelgids haven't hit my area yet.

After having a light snow overnight, my 2 year old daughter and I took advantage of this sunny afternoon in scouting some hemlocks. She must be good luck, because we found several more hemlocks covered in last year's reishi. I was surprised at how large some of them are, and I tried to take some pictures to demonstrate. There were some even larger specimens (I swear one was the size of a toilet seat) high up on the tree, but I couldn't get a decent picture because the terrain was so steep and the sun was bright overhead.
