China's drop in economy, while not epic, is still severe enough. Taking into account the drop in economy, with the carry over from the 2014 season, dry ginseng prices are definitely looking to be lower this year. China is the leading end user of dry ginseng, while South Korea is for the fresh. All that being said, China's drop in economy is also affecting the other Asian countries. So likely prices will be down this year for dry, as well as fresh. A few years ago you could sell anything labeled ginseng at a profit no problem. But with the way things were wrapping up last year and the lead into this year, that doesn't look to be the case. Word of advice, make sure the sang is perfect this year - no knicks, dings, scrapes, etc. Take the time and dig each root properly - it's in the best interest of both you and your local dealer.
