Glad you had a good meal at OutBack !
On the seed bed - I transplanted 44 roots into the bed and this year 42 of those roots sent up tops.
I hope the other two will next year.
I am very pleased with those results.
All 5 of the roots you got for me sent up tops this year.
I remembered that you said that there was something special about one of those top wise and looked for it as they were emerging but did not see it.
I planted them in rows across the bed with 4 in the bottom row and then 3 in the next row up, then 4 again then 3 again - like that until I got up to the top.
In the rows that I only planted 3 roots I put your mountain roots in the middle of those 3. That way they would have a little more room and they would be spaced out right down the middle of my bed for good cross pollination with my local seng plants.
The 5 that you got for me came up this year as 3 were 4 prongs and 2 were 3 prongs.
