TOPIC: Can you ID this companion plant ?

Re:Can you ID this companion plant ? 13 years 7 months ago #5094

We have noticed that when the hog peanut plants are thick and lush looking there is often seng nearby. But it does grow higher/dryer than seng likes too but when you are seeing it in places like that the plant is usually smaller - not so dense or lush.

When we find that hog peanut nearly knee high and looking happy, that's often where you will also find seng.

The place we hunted Monday had lots of hog peanut, bainberry, maidenhair fern, other misc ferns and yellowroot growing all in with the seng.
