More outstanding roots there hobbler.

I know you dug a big pile last year too.

No doubt you are blessed with location to find such nice roots over and over again.

Question... I can't remember... and not sure if you told.... but I will ask and you can answer if you don't mind. If you do mind... that is Ok.

How much seng did you end up with last year ? In dry pounds ?

And what kind of price did you get for it per pound.

One things for sure, you should be getting top dollar for roots like that.

Don't mean to pry... just wondering what kind of money a guy could make if willing to get out there and get it, and had the good location and root like you got.

Thxs guys
Its a great yr again n its do to untouched ground n areas not dug in ten plus yrs.
I get out as mush as I can but like us all I wish I could take all of sept off n dig like a fool. I ended up with 8.5 dry lbs last yr my best ever. I sold it it for $1000 a lb.

Hobbler..

Thanks for answering the question.... and that was a great year for sure. Hope you beat that this year and the price goes sky high.

The most I can ever remember harvesting in a season was around 3.5 lbs dry. In that year I had one trip where I brought home 3 lbs 1.5 oz of green... which was another personal best single days dig for me.

For me to dig 3 lbs of green root... I assure you there was 3 or 4 times as much work to it compared to your 3 lb pile.

Huge difference in the size of the roots I am digging (on average) compared to yours. The difference is not age, it is just size. They are growing big where you are at.

Good luck on the rest of the season.
