I don't know about you but the most damage I have seen this year to Ginseng has been from dead and downed trees, limbs and branches falling on the tops. In most of the places that I hunted and dug, it seemed like that every tree that had been damaged from storms over the past 5 to 10 years, were downed this year by high winds. The biggest 4 prong that I scouted and located back in June was no where to be found this fall. However, in the general location of where it should have been, there were several trees and lots of large limbs and branches down all over the place.
