Northern Digger I am from Bell Co Kentucky.I dig alot in Bell and Harlan Counties.

White beard thanks,and that is one awsome bunch,Beautiful top to,,totaly sweet Man I h8 to see season end every year.I go to bed sometimes and see 4 forks looking at me LoL ,some people just dont understand the passion we have for digging,to them its just money and all,but I love the chase and the big old umbrella tops,every time I see them.Its addictive lol.I would walk a mile or 2 for 1 plant that is old and beautiful,not just to dig it,but to photo and admire it.

Amen! I see them 4 prong visions when I close my eyes too! It is a passion; Me and my wife love to prowl the ridges and hollers.

I know what you mean Billy,,I have a bad hip and femur,,but love to get out and sang,,,use my cane or walking stick,,,makes it a little easier,,but can spend hours out there looking. Beats the hell out of sitting at home in a chair! I just can't wait till next Sept. 1st!! This forum sure helps with the addiction!!

The Tooler is a rookie,,but a pretty decent digger!! I'll give him some more \"training\" next year!!!! I guess this is all we can do now for the next 11 months is to \"talk Trash\". But White Beard,,keep posting those nice pics and that will help!! Still can't believe the size of the leaves compared to our plants in Minnesota,,,yours much bigger!

I have so much ginseng around my home and i need to dig it up
and i need to know how to do it any ideas ?
do i need a permit? it is wild ginseng..

I have found out that their is no permits or forums to fill out if you are selling in missouri only
but you do if you sell out side of Missouri..
Here is a question for you all does ginseng vine?
or is it a one signal plant?
