TOPIC: Middle Tennessee Prices 2014

Middle Tennessee Prices 2014 9 years 6 months ago #31366

Hey you fellow Middle TN diggers... here is a post to give info on prices for this year.

What I have heard so far sounds really good.

Last week my nephew texted me that a local buyer was giving 600.00 for dry.

He texted me again this morning and said the same buyer had told him he was up to 700.00 today (9/18/2014).

I have not talked to this buyer myself... just passing on what my nephew told me.

I did call and talk to Glenn Bradey over in Pulaski TN this morning and he gave me these prices...

Green 170.00
Dry 600.00

Glenn usually pays more than my local buyer... so I was not expecting him to be lower on price.

It may be mostly speculation at this point, but I am glad to see such high starting prices. Hope it goes on up as the season progresses.

I don't plan to sell any until November or so.

If you hear anything on Middle TN prices... let us know by posting here. I like to hear about prices even if I am not ready to sell yet.

Thanks

thanks a lot for the update, sounds good... I wasn't planning on selling till November also but if prices go over the price I got last year ($850) it might be hard to resist

THANKS FOE POSTING!!
It's great that at least our fellow diggers post the prices. If only we could get the folks that buy it ( Dealers ) to actually loose there subterfuge and actually post prices. Even though I'm not in your state by seeing that your prices are climbing I know ours are most likely doing so also. I will be checking prices here again next week and I'll post up our price ranges. Last I checked it was from $500-$650 for dried. I never sell green so I don't bother asking on it.

bawhite,
I'm in Anderson County as well, there's a sign up at the co-op in Clinton. I sold to Tate Wallace last year and I thought he did me well.
