TOPIC: Emergence update from Maine

It has been a COOL WET SPRING up here in Maine.

My two and three year olds have been emerging great. I figure about 80% are up. This years seedlings are just starting to come up well.
And the four and five year olds are just starting to emerge. But with the temps in the upper 50s to low 60s, it's taking a long time for the leaves to unfold.

Usually all the plants are up by May 28. They may take a little longer this year.

Good pics. It is amazing how far ahead we are down in TN. Early this morning I checked my beds and decided to investigate the root on a seedling. When I pulled it up I seen that it already had next years growth bud about half formed. We have had great pleasant weather for awhile now but it is about to turn off into a schorcher and I'm sure the growth will be slow afterwards.

I bet your plants are about two months ahead of our plants up here with having the bud formed already. Thats cool!

It sounds like your heading into summer weather and were still waiting for spring. I know we have been cooler than the norm.
