Awesome Hobbler. I love the Elms too. Also love the Ash, Apple, Shag Bark Hickory, Poplar and in late morel season the Sycamore. Sycamore put out some Tulip Morels late in the season but before it's all over. That's my 2 cents worth. lol
Way to go chief.
Latt elms r the best in my area. I check apples all the time n have no luck. The guys in southern NY find tons in old apple orchards. Some Ash trees. Never checked poplar but plenty of those around too.
I found most of those today around Sycamore...dead elm is about the best around here..cottonwood the first 2 years they are dead..i walk my trap line were the beaver have killed some cottonwoods.they produce too
We found 60 yesterday and 66 today. Ours are not that big here Chief and some were dried out. We need another rain soon. Finding grays, blonds and many tulip morels already. Most of ours were only 1.5 to 3 inches tall. Ash and Elm but the Ash are producing more than the elms so far.
Good luck everyone.
