TOPIC: Dug a few more today

Got out in the woods and dug a few more today.

Nice Seng Mississippi. Looks like you took the time to save all the small hairs too. That's good diggin and I am sure you will get top dollar. You must have some rich loose loamy soil in the area. Some of the bigger roots are not all that old but are good size and looks like they run deep.

Latt, those long roots were in soil just as you described. The roots ran straight down and were hard to get all the hair roots because they were so deep. In other places I dug much older smaller roots where the ground was so hard I literally had to carve them out of the ground! These places were bone dry too. No moisture in the dirt at all. I don't see how they lived in ground that hard and dry.
