TOPIC: looked like a great spot

I've been trying to find some new spots in my area. It's hard because most of the land around here is farm land, has been mined, or is state land. I did manage to get a chance to hunt a new spot this weekend. The spot is above the river. I always had good luck with spots above water. I found a decent four prong right away. Then spent the next 3 hours walking all over the hill side didn't find another root. This was one of the best looking spots i ever saw. But cant win them all. I did find some golden seal. I left it though. Going hunting with my dad next weekend. Going to show me some spots he hasn't hunted since back in the 80's. I can't wait.

Don't you just love it when you get in a new bunch of woods and boom you find a nice one or two.....then it is like where is the rest. I have a theory on this, it is the Ginseng Gods having a laugh at us, they tell one another watch this we are going to walk this poor guy to death we will give him a little teaser and watch him go.
