Hello Fellas

Had a nice day in the woods today....Berries not doing as well as I had hoped....I had to plant the stems with berries on several I dug.

35.6 oz today with about 25 to 30 4s....hope I can get close to a few more days like this !

Good luck to all

Nice Pics,
For whats it worth it's proven that planting green seeds 1/2 inch deep has a better germination rate than replanting the stalk and letting the berries to ripen and fall off laying on top the ground. Now if you go back to plant the red berries after they ripen if you plant the stalk is the way to go but many people do not go to the same spot that they already dug if they have got em all that year.
I used to plant the stalk too but I now plant the green berries if there are some or wait to go back when the berries are red. I know its a tough call to leave a seng plant as someone else may get it before you return to dig the root. So that's why I plant the green seeds now.
Just a thought,
Thanks,
Latt

Yep... Any digger would appreciate a day like that... In regards to the pics of the older seng, I believe that I probably walk over or accidently step on it than actually spot it.. Hard to identify when it gets that old unless it has a nice pod of berries.. Anyways, nice pics..
