TOPIC: State Ginseng Cordinators

Something I want to share with all of the new dealers in Ky and in other States.

It is very informative and helpful to meet your States Agriculture Programs Ginseng Coordinator ( Marketing Specialist )

Be sure to call & see when they will have time to talk because they are very busy this time of year.

Like when I got my Dealers permit I went down to Frankfort and met Anna Lucio she is our States Marketing Specialist/Coridnator over the ginseng program here in Ky

I set and talked with her for about 2 hours and I am very glad she was very helpful and gave me alot of heads up on the business end of ginseng and things involving it.

I also went up there when I certified a 10 lb order of ginseng to send to a customer out of State.You do not have to go to the Agriculture Department to do this,but I wanted her to see some of the roots from my area,also I wasent sure on the exact procedure.

I was suprised at how much Anna admired the roots that I had in the ginseng,I figured that she had saw so much it would be like o well theres some ginseng,but she even showed some of my roots to another lady and said look what some beautiful roots and admired them as I would and took some photos,I thought that was neat.

Every since then I have felt comfortable to ask Anna any thing I needed to no,I guess meeting her and spending that short amount of time with her helped me relax and realise that she is there to help me and she has been very helpful.

I think it very good guys/gals to get aquanted with your States Ginseng Cooridnator and to feel comfortable talking with them.

Billy i couldn't agree more. I have talked with Anna a whole lot over the phone but have yet had a chance to meet, and even though she is very busy around this time of the year she will take the time out to answer about any questions you have.

Its hard for me because also being busy with becoming a new dealer where i work for the Forestry this is also our busy season. So with the digging end and dealing seng and with work i had to just send my stuff in last year. But that is going to change this year i have requested vacation for the first two weeks of september, Lord willing they will grant it, so just hopefully i will get to meet and greet this year.

Billy i also want to plan on meeting with you. I believe us both being new dealers we both could teach each other something. I know we both have a lot of knowledge with seng. I plan on giving you a call this week.

But once again Billy great idea.

It would be great to get together hillbilly,sure would call any time man.
