This is true that there are many folks out there they don't have the internet. We're doing our best to spread the word. I receive calls from persons that don't believe/know that there are any restrictions for harvesting ginseng. I know we won't reach everyone, but if we work together we can reach quite a few.

I begin calling diggers and dealers about this rule since you posted the new rules and regulations on the site.It is good that everyone has been informed at least a couple weeks before digging date would have started on Aug 15th,

but alot of diggers do not get on the internet or hear about any anyting like this especialy some of the older mountian people untill they talk to a dealer but everyone will learn this during this season and no from now on.I will inform everyone that I come in contact with,I am also going to put it in my newspaper ad this week and that will inform alot in this area also.

If a harvester/digger shows up at your place on Aug 15, simply do your best to educate them. Even under the OLD regulations, you couldn't buy then anyways. At least under the new regulations, it does allow for the green market by being able to harvest on September 1 and then selling the green the same day.

Again, if someone comes up with dry on September 1, turn them away and remind of legal ginseng harvest and that you can't buy dry until September 15.

Hey Jabber i hope you didn't think i was actually talking about you. But anyways GREAT job you do and keep up the good work and hope to see you a lot this fall.

Also i am trying to spread the word out the best i can. I hope that it works and they don't go ahead where they are so use to going early. Some of them ol' timers don't like change. But we can only do our part.

No problem. I'm sure if I deserved being pointed out on something, you'd have a fair reason to talk bad/smack.

Makes me feel good you all recognize the work I do. :)
