I did the same thing one time with a half pound of ginseng seed and 1/4 pound of goldenseal seeds. I was beat after planting many pounds of seed rake and scatter method one day. I went over the ridge to a good spot and threw handfuls of seed as far as I could sideways kind of hoping they would slide under the leaves. Have not checked that spot for a while so I am not sure if it worked. Hopefully some of both will take root and grow.
