me and my young hunting buddy who is just two years into hunting seng.went on a evening dig after work and we found some really nice ones.he found this 3oz big guy with two tops and had grew into a huge rock that he had to bust it out.man he was excited it thrills me to see excitrment on a newbes face.i thought this place was dug out but ther are still some big guys in there and most off them were still really green.i hope to go back with my wife and let her find a few taters this weekend she also gets excited I love it .

if the exciting feeling leaves when I pull a tater out like that , I hang my digger up . Nice find!

Sweet looking seng brother. I c that u r like me n the fact I'd rather c someone else get a bigen! The excitement they show is always gr8 to c. U r also fortunate like me that we get to hunt with our better half! Hope rest of season is good to u!

I like digging big uns to but to see a fresh face and he is good kid to it does the heart good to see someone young enjoying this great hobby we have to enjoy .where you live bawhite40.

chicks dig it... Man that root looks like Optimus Prime as he is changing over from a tractor-truck! That thing has many rhizomes (necks) and buds all over it. Are you all sure that it is one root and not a cluster of roots grown together? I could see folks fall all over each other to get that one!

Great looking roots there Chicks...

That one looks like it was forced to grow in a small pocket and it basically grew all over it'self.

Made it turn out especially gnarley looking.

Odd that you all still have green seng in East TN and over here just west of you in Middle TN ours is almost gone. Based on my hunt this past Saturday I would say that around 1/3 of ours is still up and findable... and its all yellow and about to blow away. A good rain will do most of ours in.

Yep, most here that you actually see is yellow or brown and that can lead you to some green ones. Got a few green sunday, mostly yellow or brown also got to plant about 30 berries.
