TOPIC: Still standing tall (BUT Lime Green)

Still standing tall (BUT Lime Green) 13 years 5 months ago #14223

I know some of you guys have hung up your digging tool for the year, and I'm sure I probably don't have more than a couple of weeks here. I got out tonight for a short hunt and still found most of them still standing upright, and most still had their leaves. A few were yellow, some were still dark green, but the majority of them were that lime green that shows up just a day or 2 before turning yellow. Dug 25 plants tonight and got 6.7 ounces. This may be my last dig for the year. I was considering going to my old honey hole, but believe I may leave it till next year.

Chief, This is the first time I've dug in October since 2008. It fell as early as I can ever remember last year. This year has had great conditions and it may stand longer than I can ever remember. Maybe you'll get the rain next year and they'll stand for you into november. On a good year it is usually done here by about the 10th of Oct. It appears that it will make it longer this year.

I saw the same thing here today 5prong. Some were still standing and deep green while others were down completely, and yet others bright yellow.
