TOPIC: First Emergence Up in Maine

Well, I've waited too long for my first plants to emerge. The wait does'nt get any easier after seven years of growing these roots.

Its been a light rain all morning. I finished fleshing a bunch of Brook Trout, and headed to the woods with my camera even though its raining.

The first plants up are a few two year olds and And two Three year olds.

Here's two three year olds. Both are three prongs.

This is a two year old that looks like it's a two or three prong. Not sure.

Another two year old.

Once this rain passes, I think they will start coming up in big numbers. I did notice a few seedlings with leaves under the mulch. No sign of the older plants yet. It won't be long now!

Like having a baby, eh? congratulations! You smoking a cigar yet?

Just kidding, plants look real nice, and here's to many many more to come!

The next day after first emergence. I was not happy with the pics my camera were taking. So today I took my wifes camera.

Found a few more two and three year olds. I would expect over this next week, I will have thousands of two and three year olds coming up. And hopefully some older plants.
