A few pics of seng planted in 2011...like to thank those who run this website and all the vetrab growers who participate. I've got hundreds and hundreds of plants a foot tall or more and flowering this year.
Around here when I find them with those big rounded end leaves, they are usually getting good sunlight. More than you typically have in old growth hardwood forest, but not too much... for example getting a lot of early morning (cooler) sun, but not so much evening sun.
They sure do look happy.. good job and good luck going forward.
Spot on TNhunter...these ones are about 40 yrds into the hollar with young cherry, hickory, and older sassafras in front of it, hickory over head and older large oaks deeper in the woods blocking the afternoon Sun. It goes from 75% shade in the morning to 85%+ in the after noon
